NAs part of its holistic approach to youth empowerment, MAONO Africa integrates health education and support into its programs to address key health challenges facing young people in informal settlements. The health component focuses on HIV & AIDS awareness, promoting the U=U (Undetectable = Untransmittable) message alongside Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), gender-based violence (GBV) prevention, and mental health awareness. Through community outreach, safe spaces, and youth-centered sessions, MAONO provides education, resources, and referrals to ensure young people are informed, supported, and empowered to make healthy life choices. These initiatives are closely linked with MAONO’s broader mission of transforming lives by equipping youth with knowledge, resilience, and life skills, reinforcing their ability to thrive socially, economically, and emotionally.
