Venessa Wanjiku is 16 years old and in class 7. She is the first born of her siblings. Currently she schools at Tumutumu school of the deaf. Venessa is abled differently as she is deaf and dumb. She lives with her mother at an informal settlement within the periphery of Dandora. Her mother is hawker where she hawks toiletries within her home area. Since she joined Maono Africa Centre for Transformation her hope of being a dancer was reignited again. She loves dance and has recently joined the Dance team. It was a shocker to her trainer who did not know how to go about with her case. But after seeing Venessa train with her dance mate he was quickly convinced that in deed disability is not inability. She is a fast learner and a good dance. .

I am forever grateful to be a proud product of MAONO AFRICA CENTRE FOR TRANSFORMATION
